Cape Fear Biofuels Fundraiser, September 17th at WHQR Gallery
Cape Fear Biofuels is proud to host a bookreading featuring Lyle Estill of Piedmont Biofuels. Lyle's new book, entitled Small is Possible, serves as a blueprint for small towns looking to address the issues of energy independence and environmental stewardship. The book includes news articles, blog entries, and amusing personal observations, which chronicle the many highs and lows experienced during Pittsboro's journey to sustainability.
About the author:
Lyle Estill is Vice-President and co-founder of Piedmont Biofuels, the largest biofuels cooperative in the United States. While initially focusing on biodiesel production, Piedmont Biofuels now maintains an active farm, waste oil collection service, and various educational programs. Lyle and his group have won numerous awards throughout the state and region for their committment to renewable energy and sustainable living.
